Job summary

Surestaff in Carol Stream, IL seeks a Lead Fabricator to guide fabrication and welding tasks, mentor teammates, and ensure safety and quality. This full-time position offers a 1st shift from 7am to 3:30pm with overtime potential.

The ideal candidate has at least 4 years of fabrication experience, strong blueprint reading, and excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Bilingual English/Spanish encouraged.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of fabrication experience with various metals.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication/welding and continual learning of machine designs and components.
• Lead and coordinate fabrication, welding, and component assembly tasks.
• Monitor teammate performance and offer teaching moments.
• Assure quality of manufactured and assembled items.
• Remain on target with operational schedules and company objectives.
• Communicate with peers to maximize workflow efficiencies.
• Maintain a safe working environment free of hazards and equipment concerns.
• Assure teammates are motivated and engaged in their work efforts.
