Job summary

Valto, Inc based in Florence, KY is seeking a Lead Extra to support daily wet end production, startups, shutdowns, and changeovers while safely guiding operations.

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years in manufacturing or resin mixing, leadership potential, and a solid understanding of resin systems and process controls; willingness to fill in across roles as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 3–5 years in manufacturing, resin mixing, or production operations preferred.
• Certified or capable of becoming certified as Operator, Utility Operator, and Resin Mixer.
• Ability to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, production equipment safely and effectively.
• Understanding of resin mixing operations, material handling, hazardous materials, and production processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the backup to the Group Lead by supporting daily operations and assuming leadership responsibilities when the Group Lead is absent.
• Assist with production startups, shutdowns, and changeovers to ensure manufacturing processes run safely, efficiently, and according to production schedules.
• Fill in for positions as needed, including Operator, Wet End Utility Operator, and Resin Mixer, to support staffing needs, employee breaks, and absences.
• Assist with troubleshooting process, equipment, and production issues by collaborating with Maintenance, Technical, and Production teams to minimize downtime and improve performance.
• Support employee training and development by helping ensure associates are properly trained and capable of safely performing assigned job duties.
• Maintain production readiness by preparing equipment, materials, and process settings for upcoming production runs while supporting housekeeping, TPM, and operational excellence initiatives.

Valto is searching is searching for a Lead Extra to be based out of Florence, KY. Reporting to Production Supervisor, this person will be responsible for serving as the primary backup to the Group Lead and provides operational support across all wet end production functions. This role assists with startups, shutdowns, changeovers, troubleshooting, employee training, and daily production activities while maintaining the flexibility to fill in for any position, including Resin Mixer, to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of manufacturing, resin mixing, or production experience, with strong leadership potential, troubleshooting abilities, and experience supporting multiple manufacturing processes. Candidates should possess a strong understanding of resin systems, production operations, process controls, and safe chemical handling practices, while demonstrating the flexibility to support all functions as needed.

What You Bring To The Table

• Previous manufacturing, chemical processing, resin mixing, or production operations experience preferred.
• Certified or capable of becoming certified as a Operator, Utility Operator, and Resin Mixer.
• Ability to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, production equipment, and line controls safely and effectively.
• Understanding of resin mixing operations, material handling procedures, hazardous materials, and production processes.
