Job summary

Austin Powder is seeking a Blaster in Charge to lead shot detonation operations across customer sites in Missouri. You will review blast details, coordinate crews, ensure compliance with safety policies, and maintain documentation per company and regulatory standards.

The role requires ATF license compliance, strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather while traveling to sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 21+ years old as required by ATF.
• Current blaster's license as required by state.
• Experience with initiation systems, laser profiling, and seismographs.

Responsibilities

• Review drill patterns and diagrams to determine shot layout to meet customer needs.
• Communicate blast details with all personnel on site.
• Prepare and detonate shots safely and successfully.
• Conduct pre/post Shot Safety Audits and document per policy.
• Ensure crew compliance with customers' policies/procedures.
• Coordinate handling of customer issues and incidents with APC personnel.
• Communicate with sales representative and Location Manager regarding customer accounts.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment per regulations and company policy.
• Comply with inventory management procedures.
• Complete and maintain required paperwork or software per policy and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
