Job summary

Ridge Rock LLC is seeking an Excavation Foreman to oversee daily on-site excavation operations and manage crews. You will ensure safety, keep projects on schedule and within budget, and serve as the primary liaison between project managers, field crews, and superintendents.

Responsibilities include leading grading, trenching, and utility install projects, directing operators and laborers, and verifying grades with GPS/Laser control systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in heavy civil construction/excavation.
• 2+ years in a supervisory/crew lead role.
• Proficient in reading blueprints/site plans/grade stakes.
• Hands-on experience with excavators and loaders.
• Familiarity with GPS grade control systems (e.g., Trimble, Topcon).
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily site operations for grading, trenching, footings, land clearing, and utility install projects.
• Direct operators, pipelayers, and laborers; assign tasks and monitor productivity.
• Read and interpret blueprints and site plans; verify grades using GPS/laser systems.
• Enforce OSHA safety standards; conduct toolbox talks; manage trench shoring and utility locates.
• Maintain daily logs, track material deliveries, and report field updates to Project Managers.
• Inspect work to ensure compliance with project specs, soil compaction, and local codes.
