Job summary

Delaware Valley Excavation in Phoenixville is seeking an Excavation Foreman to lead field crews in safe, efficient execution of excavation and site development projects. You will oversee daily operations, coordinate with project management, and ensure work aligns with plans and company standards.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in excavation, grading, and site development; strong leadership and communication skills; and proficiency in reading blueprints with GPS machine control.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in excavation, grading, and site development operations.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to read construction plans and grade stakes.
• Experience with GPS machine control preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and practices.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead excavation crews on commercial and heavy civil projects.
• Plan daily activities to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
• Read blueprints, grading plans, and utility drawings.
• Direct excavation operations including site clearing and grading.
• Coordinate equipment, materials, subcontractors, and labor.
• Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce OSHA policies.
• Maintain project documentation and reports.
• Mentor crew members and promote teamwork and accountability.
• Identify and resolve field issues to minimize delays.
