Job summary

Emory University in Atlanta is seeking an experienced events professional to oversee full lifecycle event planning for schools and divisions, including site/venue selection, AV coordination, budget development, and vendor management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and five years of experience in events management.
  • Experience supervising event staff, vendors, or volunteers and coordinating complex events.
  • Ability to manage budgets, billing, and contracts.
  • Strong written, verbal, organizational, and project-management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provides a wide range of full-service event planning for school/division including site/venue selection, AV, setup, and logistics.
  • Develops standard operating procedures and service level agreements as required.
  • Prepares post-event analysis and makes recommendations for future events and services.
  • Manages budgets, contracts, and fiscal requirements for events.
  • Leads speakers, staff, and volunteers during events and oversees project management.
