Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a lead software engineer to guide EU teams in redefining credit technology and card architectures. You will own end-to-end EU card systems, collaborate with product, design, and analytics, and help deliver high-impact features in a fast-paced environment.

You will work across stacks, drive cross-functional initiatives, and mentor engineers while ensuring reliability and scalable deployments across both frontend and backend domains.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Experience designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale using Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
• Experience developing front end applications.
• Ability to deliver major features with a clear technical and execution plan.
• Comfort with ambiguity and architecting large systems.
• Proven ability to gather and iterate on feedback from peers.
• Strong verbal and written communication to collaborate with global teams.

Responsibilities

• Set technical strategy for your team on a year-long horizon.
• Lead software engineering for all cards in the EU.
• Collaborate with product management, design and analytics to ensure technical sustainability and risk management.
• Define and advocate technical solutions and operational processes.
• Own the team's operations, monitoring and on-call readiness.
• Set code review and design standards and promote them across teams.
• Develop talent by mentoring and leading by example.
