Job summary

Link Construction Group, Inc. is seeking a Lead Estimator / Preconstruction Manager to lead bid production, price all trades, and shape early-stage strategies for high-profile commercial and industrial projects in South Florida.

You will oversee cost estimation, owner interactions, and VE initiatives while guiding a growing preconstruction team. The role requires 8+ years in preconstruction/estimating with GC firms, proficiency with Bluebeam, ET takoff, Excel, and CRM systems, and a track record

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of preconstruction and estimating experience with general contractors.
• Proven track record in pricing, estimating, and coordinating all divisions/trades for commercial and industrial projects.
• Demonstrated experience with delivery methods including negotiated, GMP, design-assist, and hard bids.
• Proficiency with industry-standard preconstruction software, including Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, Microsoft Excel, and CRM platforms.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills required for direct owner and design team interaction.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• 10 years of dedicated estimating and preconstruction experience in South Florida or relevant regional markets.
• Extensive network of established subcontractor and trade partner relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead the complete bid process, trade coverage, and cost estimation across conceptual, schematic, and construction document phases.
• Price and coordinate all trade divisions across various delivery methods including negotiated, GMP, design-assist, and hard bids.
• Evaluate project logistics and deliver VE solutions to optimize profitability and efficiency.
• Drive project pursuits and represent the company during owner and design team presentations and reviews.
• Cultivate strong relationships with trade partners and subcontractors for competitive bidding and execution.
• Mentor and develop junior estimating team members.
