Job summary

Capstone Mechanical, LP. seeks an Estimation, Piping Manager to lead the estimating function from budgeting to bid submission for commercial and industrial piping projects.

You will develop detailed cost estimates, incorporate historical pricing, and coordinate with procurement and field teams to ensure accurate pricing and timely proposals. The role requires extensive experience in piping systems, strong analytical and leadership skills, and the ability to interpret plans and specs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of commercial estimating and construction experience.
• 2–5 years of management experience.
• Experience estimating piping projects (commercial/industrial).
• Ability to read and interpret piping drawings, codes, specs, and contract requirements.
• Experience with BIM/CAD coordination and fabrication workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimating from conceptual budgeting through final bid submission.
• Develop cost estimates with labor, material, equipment, and service requirements.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals.
• Lead bid reviews and craft final pricing and proposals.
• Turnover awarded projects to project management and field teams.
• Develop and maintain estimating standards and tools.
