Job summary

Atlantic Constructors, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Piping Estimator to provide complete estimates for bids on projects assigned by the Estimating Manager.

You will review documents, obtain subcontractor quotes, and help develop bid strategies while coordinating with internal teams across multiple trades. The role requires 5+ years in industrial construction estimating, strong knowledge of piping systems and ASME codes, and proficient use of AutoBid/Quote Soft/TSI.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in industrial construction projects or equivalent
• 3+ years' Estimating/Pre-Construction experience
• Proficiency with estimating software (AutoBid, Quote Soft, TSI, Estimation)
• Solid understanding of process P&ID drawings and flow diagrams
• General understanding of ASME/ANSI Codes 31.1, 31.3, 31.9
• Understanding of plumbing systems takeoffs
• Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
• Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Able to multi-task and meet deadlines with attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Review construction documents and bid instructions
• Solicit subcontractor and vendor quotes for all scopes
• Distribute plans and addenda to subcontractors via FTP/email
• Assist in developing bid strategies
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed
• Review take-off and pricing for self-performed work
• Evaluate subcontractor quotes for compliance
• Draft rough scope of work for proposals
• Assist in subcontracting and procurement of materials and equipment
• Enter estimates into job cost control system and support turnover meetings
