You will coordinate with marketing, discuss estimates with clients, and identify cost-saving opportunities to drive competitive bids. Required are a high school diploma or GED with a construction/mechanical background and at least five years in mechanical piping construction estimating.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED; plus degree or extensive experience in mechanical construction estimating.
• Experience: At least 5 years of piping construction estimating; bids on non-residential projects ≥ $250,000.

Responsibilities

• Compute cost factors and prepare construction estimates for bids and planning.
• Lead estimators and staff; manage assignments and training.
• Review market potential with Marketing to align bids with strategic goals.
• Promote company capabilities with key decision makers.
• Consult with clients and vendors to discuss estimates and resolve issues.
• Identify cost trends to aid cost reduction and process improvements.
