Job summary

CoVolt Power seeks a Manager of Estimating for utility-scale solar and battery storage projects. The role leads the estimating function, champions best practices, and drives pricing strategy across proposals. Travel for site visits and client meetings is required.

The ideal candidate has experience with self-perform construction estimating, solar/storage systems, and a proactive, growth-oriented mindset. This full-time position offers leadership opportunities within a values-driven EPC

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field.
Experience in subcontract tendering and response evaluation.
Experience with solar and/or battery storage.
Prior self-perform construction experience preferred.
Experience with B2W estimating software preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop estimating team with Estimating Leadership and manage proposal capacity.
Own select templates and processes to improve efficiency.
Coach and mentor team members in line with core principles.
Develop competitive and precise project budgets in response to client RFPs.
Review client RFPs to determine scope, schedule, and design criteria; perform takeoffs and prepare proposal documents.
Develop subcontractor bid packages, solicit pricing and drive value-driven solutions.
Coordinate with Estimating and Operations to align cost estimation with execution.
Lead pricing efforts for utility scale solar and storage opportunities.
Ensure estimates are accurate before review by Preconstruction Leadership.
Collaborate with Business Development, Engineering, Procurement to identify value-driven opportunities.
Perform other Estimating Department tasks as assigned.
