ANCHOR MANUFACTURING ACQUISITION COMPANY LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Estimating Engineer to join our manufacturing team in Kentucky. You will accurately estimate project costs and timelines for metal stamping, welding, and fabrication, collaborating with engineering and other departments on changes.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent), 3+ years in project management, and strong GD&T and communication skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Three years of project management experience.
Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, and materials.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to read drawings and GD&T.
Effective communication and collaboration.
Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Experience in automotive, appliance, or heavy truck industries preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead the Estimating department relative to quotation accuracy and quote completion priorities.
Analyze quote opportunities against threshold parameters and report findings.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for metal stamping, welding, and fabrication projects.
Collaborate with Engineering and other departments on product changes.
Communicate quote backlog status at weekly sales meetings.
Represent Estimating to customers for quoting process clarification.
Develop additional sources for capital equipment quoting.
Foster cost-focused processes to maximize profit.
Participate in APQP gates 1, 2, 4, and 5 related to estimating.
