Job summary

Capital Veterinary Specialists is seeking a Lead Emergency/ICU Technician to help lead our amazing team. This role offers a $2,500 sign-on bonus and involves coaching, safety leadership, radiology/ PPE oversight, and policy development to ensure top‑quality care and efficient operations.

Requirements include 2–3 years of emergency/ICU experience and 1 year of leadership. RVT/CVT preferred; some nights and weekends needed with occasional on-call.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years emergency/ICU experience required.
• 1 year leadership experience preferred.
• RVT/CVT preferred.
• Some nights/weekends required.
• Occasional on-call.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day coaching and supervision of Technician team members.
• Ensure OSHA regulations are followed and hospital safety meetings are conducted.
• Maintain radiology compliance including dosimetry badge reports and exposure checks.
• Maintain PPE logs and ensure adequate PPE availability.
• Maintain and oversee equipment cleaning/maintenance with checklists.
• Develop and implement Policies & Procedures with Medical Director and Hospital Administrator.
• Collaborate with Department Leads to ensure efficient operations.
• Oversee training and provide regular feedback to leaders.
• Perform employee evaluations with Hospital Administrator.
