Job summary

Animal ER Care, LLC in Colorado Springs seeks an experienced emergency veterinary technician to join our busy team. RVT/CVT/LVT preferred but not required.

This full-time position offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus, a collaborative environment, and opportunities to work with state-of-the-art facilities within a renowned VECCS II/AAHA-accredited practice. 12-hour shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years as a veterinary technician and/or 3+ years in emergency medicine.
• VTS in Emergency and Critical Care (or realistic goal to obtain VTS) is ideal but not required.
• Ability to maintain composure during times of high-stress situations.
• Excellent communication skills and experience in client education.
• Ability to lift animals up to 50 pounds and work 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to patients and clients.
• Perform CPR and emergency procedures.
• Restrain animals safely and monitor anesthesia.
• Administer injections and place IV catheters.
• Maintain medical records in EzyVet and ensure accuracy.
• Assist with radiographs and laboratory work.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
