Job summary

Tower Semiconductor Ltd. is seeking an Equipment Engineering Technician 3 for the Diffusion area in Newport Beach, CA.

You will perform advanced repair, calibration, and preventive maintenance on diffusion equipment, ensuring maximum production availability and providing guidance to junior technicians. You will collaborate with Production and Engineering teams to resolve process issues, lead priority setting for the shift, and drive improvements while operating in a clean-room fab environment

Qualifications

• Associate of Science degree with emphasis in Electronics or military equivalent.
• 5+ years technical experience in the semiconductor industry.
• Strong knowledge of electro-mechanical systems, vacuum and pneumatics, electrical circuits and motor control.
• Experience with Applied Materials and Novellus equipment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced repair, calibration, and preventive maintenance on diffusion equipment.
• Lead area shift pass-downs and set priorities for the team.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to lower-level technicians.
• Analyze recurring equipment failures and propose improvements.
• Interface with Production, Process, and Facility teams to resolve equipment issues.
