Job summary

Primoris Renewable Energy, within Primoris Services Corporation, is seeking a Sr. Equipment Supervisor to oversee maintenance, repair, and readiness of a diverse heavy equipment fleet for construction projects.

You will lead mechanics, technicians, and operators, implement preventive maintenance, and ensure uptime while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance. You will manage inventory, coordinate mobilization/demobilization, and work with project managers to optimize equipment usage and

Qualifications

Diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or technical certification in heavy equipment repair, diesel mechanics, or related field preferred.
7+ years progressive experience in heavy equipment maintenance/repair; at least 3 years in supervisory/lead role.
Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on varied construction equipment.
Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and best practices for equipment safety.
Proficiency using diagnostic tools and equipment management software.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
Valid driver’s license with clean record; CDL may be required.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather and on construction sites.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Supervise and lead a team of equipment mechanics, technicians, and operators; provide guidance and evaluation.
Develop, implement, and monitor preventative maintenance programs for all equipment.
Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and coordinate repairs.
Manage equipment inventory of parts, tools, and supplies to minimize downtime.
Oversee equipment mobilization and demobilization to and from job sites; ensure proper loading and transport.
Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, inspections, and hours.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
Collaborate with project managers to schedule usage and allocate resources.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions in equipment management.
Assist in procurement of new equipment and assess specifications.
