Job summary

Smart Tech Contracting in the Washington DC area seeks a Lead EPMS Field Technician to lead EPMS and BAS installation, startup and commissioning on mission-critical data center projects.

You will direct subcontractors, coordinate field activities, troubleshoot Modbus networks and gateways, and ensure client acceptance of systems and documentation.

This role requires leadership, attention to QA/QC, and the ability to work independently with travel in the Northern Virginia / Washington DC region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction or related field is required.
• Two years hands-on EPMS or controls experience are acceptable.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain client site access and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Direct and monitor subcontractors and coordinate start-up services.
• Configure EPMS field devices and troubleshoot Modbus communications.
• Perform point-to-point testing and vendor checkout.
• Lead installation and commissioning activities with project teams.
• Provide input to proposals and maintain project documentation.
