Job summary

Environmental Compliance Consultants inc. offers a Lead Environmental Technician/Warehouse Supervisor role at our JBER service center in Alaska.

The position supports our environmental and industrial services for DoD and public clients, with year-round Alaska employment and opportunities for advancement. Responsibilities include leading by example, managing hazardous waste handling, inspecting regulatory compliance, warehouse safety, data entry, and customer service.

Qualifications

  • Possess or obtain a 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification.
  • Pass pre-employment DOT drug test including marijuana.
  • Ability to pass a government background check for military installation access.
  • Ability to wear a full and half face respirator.
  • Have a positive attitude, integrity, and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the job.
  • General computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Load, unload, secure, and transport cargo.
  • Lead by example with professionalism, teamwork, and safety.
  • Inspect, handle, and containerize hazardous waste and materials.
  • Inspect containers and collection areas for regulatory compliance.
  • Perform routine daily vehicle and equipment inspections.
  • Maintain and clean industrial systems; oil water separators.
  • Spill response, remediation, and cleanup activities.
  • Maintain an organized, safe warehouse and housekeeping standards.
  • Work as a working lead in field, warehouse, and operations.
  • Pumps fluids and other materials.
  • Data entry and record keeping.
  • Follow safety program requirements as priority one.
  • Provide excellent customer service and client relations.
  • Abide by drug-free policy.
  • Accomplish assigned tasks with minimal supervision and adapt to changing priorities.

Requirements

Essential Duties & Job Functions:

  • Load, unload, secure, and transport cargo
  • Lead by example by demonstrating professionalism, strong work ethic, accountability, teamwork, and a commitment to safety.
  • Inspect, handle, and containerize hazardous waste and materials
  • Inspect containers and collection areas for compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Perform routine daily vehicle and equipment inspections
  • Maintain and clean industrial systems; oil water separators, etc.
  • Spill response, remediation, and clean-up activities
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment and ensure proper housekeeping standards are consistently met
  • Serve as a working lead by actively participating in field, warehouse, and operational activities alongside the team.
  • Pump fluids and other materials
  • Data entry and record keeping
  • Follow safety program requirements as priority one; always acting in a safe manner
  • Provide excellent customer service and client relations
  • Abide by company drug-free policy including recreational and medicinal marijuana
  • Accomplish assigned tasks with minimal supervision and adapt to changing priorities
