University Health is seeking a Sr. Environmental Services Technician at UH Lakewood, Kansas City, MO, on a 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM shift.

The role leads the housekeeping crew, trains new team members, and ensures hospital-grade cleanliness, infection control, and safety across the unit. You’ll work with a dedicated team to keep patient areas safe and spotless, mentor peers, and maintain open communication with staff and patients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of housekeeping experience.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stay active for a full shift.
• Experience leading a small team is a bonus.

Responsabilités

• Be the point person on your shift — give clear direction and positive energy to your housekeeping crew.
• Train and mentor new team members to help them become rock stars too.
• Ensure cleaning tasks are done right, on time, and up to hospital-grade standards.
• Keep an eye on safety, infection control, and overall cleanliness.
• Roll up your sleeves and jump in when needed, and don’t be afraid to get hands dirty.
• Communicate with staff, patients, and visitors with a helpful and respectful attitude.
• Know your cleaning gear like a pro: vacuums, floor machines, polishers; handle it all.
