Job summary

ViziRecruiter LLC is seeking an EVS Supervisor in Mississippi to assist the shift supervisor with planning and coordinating custodial duties on the shift in Biloxi. You will act in the supervisor's absence, assign areas, and ensure standards of cleanliness are met.

You will inspect work, manage inventory, coordinate training for new staff, participate in performance reviews, and ensure that keys and equipment are checked in and out and returned clean for the next shift.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to read and comprehend instructions, product safety and warnings.
  • Strong communication and computer skills required.
  • Experience in custodial/janitorial work preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform duties of the EVS Supervisor in their absence and assign areas and duties.
  • Inspect work for cleanliness standards and manage inventory of supplies.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Assists the EVS Shift Supervisor with supervising and planning the work activities of custodial personnel on an assigned shift
  • Performs the duties of the EVS Supervisor in their absence
  • Assign EVS Attendants their assigned areas and duties
  • Inspect work for conformance to prescribed standards of cleanliness
  • Inventory stock to ensure adequate supplies
  • Issue supplies and equipment to custodial workers
  • Coordinate training of new employees
  • Contribute and assist in the evaluation of employee performance reviews
  • Accountable for follow through with department, walk through, special cleaning projects and the maintaining of department cleanliness standards
  • Responsible for ensuring that keys, pans and brooms, and equipment are checked in and out accurately
  • Ensure equipment is returned clean and ready for next user and holds staff accountable for such
Requirements

  • High school diploma, or General Education Degree (GED) certificate, or at least six months custodial, janitorial, or porter experience
  • Must have the ability to read and comprehend instructions (both orally and written), product safety and warning labels
  • Requires familiarity with commercial cleaning products and equipment required
  • Good communication skills
  • Computer applications skills
  • Highly successful performance review
  • Must be able to tolerate exposure to tobacco smoke, harsh chemicals, cleaning products, and changing environmental conditions
  • Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 30 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
