Job summary

Boomtown Casino Biloxi is seeking an EVS Supervisor to assist in supervising and planning the work activities of custodial staff on an assigned shift.

The role includes duties in the supervisor's absence, assigning areas and duties, and ensuring cleanliness standards are met.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or at least six months custodial, janitorial, or porter experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions (both orally and written).
• Familiarity with commercial cleaning products and equipment.
• Good communication and computer skills.
• Physically mobile with ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must tolerate exposure to tobacco smoke and cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Assign EVS Attendants their assigned areas and duties
• Inspect work for conformance to prescribed standards of cleanliness
• Inventory stock to ensure adequate supplies
• Issue supplies and equipment to custodial workers
• Coordinate training of new employees
• Contribute and assist in the evaluation of employee performance reviews
• Accountable for follow through with department, walk through, special cleaning projects and the maintaining of department cleanliness standards
• Responsible for ensuring that keys, pans and brooms, and equipment are checked in and out accurately
• Ensure equipment is returned clean and ready for next user and holds staff accountable for such

• Must be able to tolerate exposure to tobacco smoke, harsh chemicals, cleaning products, and changing environmental conditions
• Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 30 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces
• Must be at least 21 years of age
