Job summary

BFW/Marcum seeks an experienced Environmental Scientist to perform Phase I and II ESAs and support permitting and compliance across Paducah, KY and St. Louis, MO.

The role involves independent field assessments, data evaluation, and client liaison, with travel between Kentucky and Missouri. The ideal candidate has 5–10 years in environmental consulting, solid knowledge of federal and state regulations, and strong reporting abilities.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of environmental consulting or related professional experience.
• Experience conducting Phase I ESAs and Phase II environmental investigations.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites across Kentucky and Missouri.

Responsibilities

• Phase I and Phase II Projects – Independently conduct ESAs per ASTM standards.
• Environmental sampling and data evaluation across soil, groundwater, surface water, and sediment.
• Permitting and regulatory compliance support, including NEPA and SPCC/SWPPP.
• Prepare environmental reports and agency correspondence for clients and regulators.
• Review plans for environmental requirements and assist with budgets and proposals.
