Professional Environmental Engineers, Inc. in St. Louis seeks a mid-level Environmental Engineer, Geologist, or Scientist to manage Phase I ESAs, Phase II ESAs, and regulatory projects, blending field work with project management. Strong client coordination and on-time delivery are required.

The ideal candidate has a BS in engineering or earth sciences, 10+ years total experience with 5+ years in PM, and licensure as PE or Geologist, with NEPA/CERCLA experience and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science with an environmental emphasis.
• 10+ years total experience and 5+ years in project management.
• Knowledge of geologic principles and local geology.
• Experience with CERCLA, RCRA, NEPA and MRBCA familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee Phase I ESAs and related due diligence projects.
• Develop work plans, health and safety plans, and sampling plans.
• Prepare soil boring logs, cross-sections, and site maps.
• Perform field sampling of soil, groundwater, surface water, and air.
• Oversee remediation projects and ensure on-time delivery.
• Prepare technical reports, tables, and maps for regulators and clients.
