Job summary

ICF's Environment & Planning Division in Northern California seeks an Environmental Planner to deliver environmental impact analyses across transportation, water, energy, and land-use projects. You will lead data gathering, write CEQA/NEPA analyses, and coordinate with clients, consultants, and regulators.

This role requires a Bachelor's in environmental studies or urban planning and at least five years' professional experience, including three in consulting or public agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental studies, urban planning, or related field required.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience, including at least 3 in a consulting or public agency environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of a project, including personnel allocation, technical approach, and subcontractor involvement with support from senior staff.
• Gather data, conduct research, and proficiently write environmental impact assessments for CEQA/NEPA topics.
• Assist with preparation of documents, reports, presentations, and public notices.
• Support public outreach activities and communicate strategies to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and ensure timeliness and quality within budgets.
