Job summary

Boston Public Health Commission seeks a responsible leader to manage the Environmental Follow-up Component of lead cases and supervise Health Inspectors in lead case management.

You will ensure sources of lead exposure are investigated and abated promptly, while providing data to support the Director in reporting and grant writing. The role also covers policy development and coordination with other EOH units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s of Science degree or five years of relevant experience.
• Five years of full-time or equivalent part-time professional/technical Environmental Inspection experience.
• One year of the five years of experience in a managerial capacity.
• Must obtain MA Lead Inspector License within six months of hire and maintain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Oversees day-to-day operations and management of the Environmental Follow-up Component of lead cases and supervises Health Inspectors.
• Ensures sources of lead exposure are investigated and abated within required time frames.
• Provides data to support the Director in reports and grant applications; interacts with other EOH units.
• Responsible for quality and thoroughness of environmental follow-up counseling and advocacy tasks.
• Assists with development of program policy and procedures and reviews audits with inspectors.
