Job summary

Boston Public Health Commission (BPHC) seeks an experienced Environmental Inspectors Lead to manage the Environmental Follow-up Component for lead cases and supervise inspectors in field and office settings. You will ensure investigations and abatements occur within required timeframes and support reports and grant applications for the program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or five years of relevant Environmental Inspection experience.
• Five years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, experience in Environmental Inspection.
• Three of five years must be in a professional capacity.
• One year of five years must be in a managerial capacity.
• Must obtain MA Lead Inspector License within six months of hire and maintain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations and management of the Environmental Follow-up Component of lead cases.
• Supervise Health Inspectors in lead case management activities.
• Ensure sources of lead exposure are investigated and abated in a timely manner.
• Provide data to support reports and grant applications for the component.
• Advise on inspection policies and review audits with inspectors.
• Assist with program policy and procedures development.
