S&ME in Raleigh, North Carolina seeks a Senior Environmental Engineer to lead key environmental projects, manage client coordination, and guide a team of engineers and geologists. The role combines office and field work, with focus on regulatory compliance, budgeting, and technical excellence.

You will mentor junior staff, expand client relationships, and contribute to project strategies, deliverables, and proposals. This is a full-time position based in Raleigh with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biological or Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related field.
• 10+ years of progressive environmental engineering experience with project or multidisciplinary team leadership.
• NC Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain via reciprocity.
• Strong project management, leadership, and technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental projects, coordinate clients, planning, budgeting, and technical documentation.
• Supervise and mentor engineers and geologists to support growth.
• Execute field investigations and remediation, coordinating with regulators and officials.
• Prepare technical reports and assist with scopes and cost proposals.
• Engage with clients and expand business opportunities.
