Job summary

AE seeks a dynamic environmental engineer to lead field characterization, monitoring, and remediation tasks. The role includes site visits, sampling, planning, and reporting, with travel to project sites and a focus on safe, compliant work.

Telecommute eligible, primarily Monday–Friday, with field assignments as needed. Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Engineering (civil/environmental/chemical/geotechnical), be able to pass federal background checks, hold a valid driver's license, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (civil/environmental/chemical/geotechnical)
• Ability to pass background checks by Federal Agencies (e.g., DoD, DHS)
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
• Strong MS Office knowledge and data reporting skills
• Adept at explaining technical fieldwork concepts to clients

Responsibilities

• Conduct contaminated site characterization, monitoring, and remediation field assessments
• Travel to project sites using aircraft, vehicles, ATVs, or watercraft
• Field screening and sampling of contaminants in various media
• Design and operate remediation and treatment systems
• Prepare work plans, field reports, and technical documents
• Lead or support subcontractors and field teams
• Ensure safety and adherence to project specifications
