Job summary

UES is seeking an Environmental Engineer to join our environmental team and support a variety of state and federal environmental projects. This mid-career role is ideal for someone pursuing PE licensure and looking to deepen technical and project management skills.

You will support investigations, remediation, groundwater evaluations, regulatory reporting, and remedial design, working with experienced professionals and taking on progressively greater responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant AEC or consulting experience.
• Strong knowledge of environmental permitting and regulatory frameworks.
• Demonstrated technical writing and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Support environmental site investigations, remediation projects, and regulatory compliance activities for state and federal projects.
• Assist with projects involving contaminated soil and groundwater, including site characterization, groundwater monitoring, remediation, and regulatory closure.
• Evaluate environmental and groundwater data and assist with hydrogeologic and statistical analyses.
• Support risk assessments, remedial alternatives evaluations, and development of remediation strategies.
• Assist with remedial design and remediation implementation activities.
• Prepare technical memoranda, environmental reports, regulatory submittals, work plans, and remediation‑related documentation.
• Coordinate field activities and support environmental sampling and investigation programs as needed.
