Job summary

ExxonMobil is seeking an Environmental Advisor to support an operation by completing regulatory analyses, maintaining compliance systems, and ensuring reporting requirements are met. The role will stay current with regulations and assist Advocacy staff in rulemaking and interpretations.

Location is at the supported site. The position involves routine environmental and regulatory duties, coordinating data, and supporting permit applications, with leadership opportunities in environmental planning

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of emissions calculations and methodology.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant environmental experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Federal & State environmental regulations.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and RCRA.
• Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical or Environmental preferred).
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Organizational leadership and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine environmental and regulatory compliance activities including managing data associated with environmental and regulatory permitting, compliance, processes and programs.
• Coordinate information gathering, respond to regulatory agency information requests, and support permit applications.
• Assist in developing consistent and efficient compliance programs (e.g. environmental aspect / impact assessments, environmental business planning).
• Provide feedback on process and tool improvement opportunities including impact avoidance and mitigation measures.
• Lead implementation of appropriate environmental and regulatory practices including impact avoidance and mitigation measures for operating facility, marketing business unit or project.
• May lead environmental business planning efforts or environmental aspect assessments for the site or project.
