Job summary

Clancy Group is seeking an experienced Environment Manager to lead environmental delivery on two major water infrastructure projects in the UK. You’ll work with the Head of Environment, project teams and clients to manage permits, compliance and environmental risk from pre-construction through commissioning.

You will coordinate environmental documentation, audits and governance, while driving a positive environmental culture across sites.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in environmental leadership on construction/infrastructure projects.
• Deep knowledge of environmental legislation and compliance requirements.
• Experience with waste management and permits/consents.
• Experience across ecology, archaeology, arboriculture and water environments.
• Proven ability to write and manage consents, licences and permits.
• Experience implementing ISO14001 environmental management systems.
• Ability to influence operations and challenge risks to standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day environmental delivery across two major projects.
• Coordinate permits, licenses, consents and approvals.
• Produce and maintain environmental documentation (CEMPs).
• Identify risks and ensure effective mitigation measures.
• Coordinate ecological, environmental and archaeological requirements during construction.
• Deliver audits, inspections, investigations and compliance reporting.
• Support sustainability objectives and improve environmental performance.
• Build relationships with clients, regulators, landowners and stakeholders.
• Provide guidance to Environmental Advisors and Clerks of Works.
