Job summary

DMA - DuCharme, McMillen & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Lead Engineer, Enterprise Architecture to shape DMA’s future-state technology architecture.

You will lead a small architecture team, partner with business and IT leadership, and drive governance, standards, and cross-system integrations to align technology with business strategy. The role focuses on enterprise direction, architecture reviews, and practical solution options, including AI-enabled capabilities, while maintaining alignment

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
10+ years in solution or enterprise architecture, software engineering, or related.
Experience leading enterprise or solution architecture for complex, cross-functional initiatives.
Experience establishing target-state architectures, standards, governance, and roadmaps.
Experience translating ambiguous business needs into structured options and architecture recommendations.
Experience evaluating build-vs-buy, third-party platforms, and total lifecycle implications.

Responsibilities

Define and maintain current-state, future-state, and transition architecture with enterprise standards and reusable patterns.
Partner with business leaders to translate strategic objectives into technology strategies.
Engage early in initiatives to shape requirements and assess dependencies.
Ensure major initiatives align with security, data strategy, and long-term roadmap.
Lead architecture for significant business requests, including trade-offs and risk assessment.
Lead governance, design decisions, and risk management across architecture efforts.
Lead AI-enabled architecture initiatives, including generative AI and RAG solutions.
Mentor a team of 2-3 technical professionals and collaborate with delivery teams.
