Job summary

Marion County is seeking an IT Supervisor of Application Development to lead modernization efforts across multiple departments. This role combines hands-on technical direction with people leadership to build a capable, accountable team focused on continuous improvement.

The incumbent will own service delivery, guide architecture decisions, set engineering standards, and drive performance metrics while coordinating with other IT service areas and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field and relevant experience.
• 2+ years IT project management or technically related experience.
• 2+ years supervisory or 3+ years lead experience in IT-related field.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Application Development team, including work assignment and performance evaluations.
• Own the delivery and continuous improvement of the Application Development service across county departments.
• Establish backlog, enforce WIP limits, and ensure a structured delivery process with defined done criteria.
• Coordinate Governance and cross-team delivery, aligning with ITIL/Agile practices.
