Job summary

Mundo Verde Bilingual Public Charter School is seeking a Lead Teacher to deliver engaging instruction within a fully bilingual setting and collaborate with a dedicated team to support diverse learners.

The role emphasizes biliteracy, inclusive practices, and partnerships with families, with the aim of fostering student belonging and high achievement across PreK-5. This is a 10-month salaried position on a full-time basis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education for K-5.
• DC teaching license preferred.
• Spanish proficiency required for PK-2 immersion.
• Experience in inclusive settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver instruction to meet grade-level standards.
• Build biliteracy-focused classroom culture.
• Co-teach with colleagues across grade levels and language cohorts.
• Attend weekly meetings and participate in data reviews.
• Uphold Responsive Classroom and Restorative Practices.
