Job summary

Challenge Charter High School seeks an ENL Teacher and Coordinator to collaborate with teachers, staff and families to develop language skills for students from K-12. You will prepare materials, design lessons, track progress, and tailor plans for students with special needs.

Frequent meetings with supervisors will guide your instructional goals. The role emphasizes collaboration, technology use, data-driven instruction, and translations for ELL students, with a focus on closing achievement gaps

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree and certification in an appropriate content area preferred.
• Dually licensed preferred; content area and ESL or Special Education
• Willingness to teach in urban school settings
• Ability to use data to drive instruction and close achievement gaps

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, administration, and families to support language development.
• Design and implement ENL material and lessons across grade levels.
• Provide English-Spanish translations for ELL students.
• Reflect on pedagogical goals with supervisors and adjust instruction accordingly
