Job summary

CTI and Associates is seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to support DOE, DOD, and commercial projects in Indianapolis, IN. You will conduct tests, collect data, and help prepare complex technical documentation such as schematics and reports.

The role requires 5 years in an engineering technician position, an associate degree (bachelor's preferred), and travel with a valid license. You will mentor junior staff and ensure safety and quality across on-site and lab work.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology or related field; Bachelor's preferred.
• 5 years in an engineering technician role; government or regulated work preferred.
• Certifications in equipment operation or safety are a plus.
• Must pass background check and drug/alcohol testing policy.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced technical tasks, including tests, measurements, and data collection for DOE, DOD, and commercial projects.
• Assist engineers in preparing schematics, blueprints, and reports.
• Oversee assembly, installation, and testing of systems and prototypes.
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment, ensuring calibration and function.
• Lead fieldwork activities like surveys, inspections, and testing.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
• Ensure safety and environmental compliance on-site or in the lab.
• Collaborate with teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges.
