Job summary

CTI and Associates is seeking a hands-on Engineering Technician to support DOE, DOD, and commercial projects in Huntsville. You will perform tests, gather data, and assist engineers with schematics, blueprints, and technical reports, ensuring accurate documentation.

You will oversee the assembly, installation, and testing of engineering systems and prototypes; maintain and calibrate equipment; lead fieldwork activities; mentor junior technicians; and ensure safety and regulatory compliance on

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology or related field is required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5 years of experience in an engineering technician role, preferably in regulated government projects.
• Certified in equipment operation or safety is a plus.
• Proficiency with engineering software, equipment and tools; knowledge of DOE/DOD standards preferred.
• Background check and drug/alcohol testing may be required; valid driver's license and travel ability required.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced technical tasks to support engineering projects, including tests and data collection.
• Assist engineers in preparing schematics, blueprints, and reports.
• Oversee assembly, installation, and testing of engineering systems and prototypes.
• Maintain and troubleshoot advanced equipment, ensuring proper calibration.
• Lead fieldwork activities such as surveys, inspections, and testing.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians and engineering staff.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations on-site or in the lab.
• Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing directives and work conditions.
