Job summary

Engtal in Chantilly, VA, is seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary design projects for federal and commercial facilities. This on-site role offers ownership from initial scoping through closeout, with autonomy over project delivery and client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, Facilities Management, or 10+ years of relevant AEC project management experience.
• Experience managing complex engineering, architecture, construction, or facilities-related projects.
• Strong understanding of project schedules, budgets, staffing, resource planning, and cost control.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering or technical project teams.
• Strong client-facing and relationship-management capabilities.
• Ability to develop project scopes, budgets, staffing plans, and cost estimates.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex engineering design projects from initial scoping and kick-off through completion.
• Establish project teams, define scope, and determine staffing and resources.
• Own delivery, schedules, budgets, and financial performance.
• Serve as the primary client contact throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and resources.
• Manage scope changes, timelines, and client expectations.
• Oversee quality and coordinate QC across disciplines.
• Monitor profitability, invoicing, and cost controls.
• Coordinate with finance and accounting during delivery and closeout.
• Identify new opportunities within existing accounts and via referrals.
