Job summary

exp Federal is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer in Chantilly, VA (hybrid) to lead design-build infrastructure projects for federal clients. You will develop technical docs, manage projects, and guide staff from concept through construction.

Strong leadership, client focus, and collaboration across disciplines are essential. The role requires 15+ years of experience, a PE license (SE preferred), and proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, with willingness to travel and obtain any necessary

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
15+ years of relevant experience.
Licensed PE required or SE preferred; NCEES record for U.S. licensure.

Responsibilities

Lead in development of technical documentation, drawings, and presentations for federal clients.
Perform project and construction administration as project manager or structural lead.
Oversee project labor estimates, budgets, deliverables, and standards.
Engineer projects from concept to construction documents and commissioning.
Review and approve design criteria, assist marketing with bids and proposals.
Support business development with fee estimates and assumptions.
Conduct existing condition surveys and structural assessments of buildings.
