Job summary

Cabot Citrus Farms in Brooksville, Florida is seeking a Lead Engineer (PM) to oversee maintenance for an upscale hospitality property. The role requires hands-on supervision of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, with emphasis on safety, quality, and guest satisfaction.

You will manage routine and preventative maintenance, coordinate with contractors, and support the Engineering Manager in staffing and performance management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in a maintenance and supervisory role.
• EPA608 License preferred.
• Experience in carpentry, plumbing, heating, electrical, HVAC, electronic diagnostics, and water treatment.
• High school or equivalent education is required.
• Proficiency with computer software including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional organizational skills and demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment.
• Must be able to work under direction or self-directed, motivated, and demonstrate exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent ability to communicate, concisely, and openly in all interactions (verbal and written).
• Ability to exercise sound logic and judgment in evaluating situations and utilizing appropriate resources and know when to elevate to management.
• Demonstrated ability to work with maximum accuracy, efficiency, and a high degree of attention to detail, without supervision.

Responsibilities

• Ensure mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems are functioning properly (HVAC, lighting, elevators, kitchen equipment, etc.).
• Serve as a role model for engineering excellence with professionalism and quality.
• Identify and rectify general maintenance issues.
• Follow professional development and training activities as directed.
• Assist Engineering Manager with recruitment, training, retention, and performance management.
• Coordinate repair work, contractor access, and inspections.
• Plan preventative maintenance schedules and fault reporting systems.
• Monitor safety policies and OSHA compliance.
• Handle guest room maintenance requests promptly.
• Conduct room inspections and identify repair needs.
• Perform work to local, state, and Federal codes.
• Maintain guest satisfaction by addressing issues timely.
