Job summary

Cabot Citrus Farms in Brooksville, FL seeks a Lead Engineer In-Training to support resort facilities and an engineering team. You will manage maintenance activities, help supervise staff, and ensure all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems perform at peak efficiency.

The role requires hands-on expertise across HVAC, electrical work, and safety compliance, with a focus on guest satisfaction and operational excellence at Cabot’s premium property.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in a maintenance and supervisory role.
• Experience in carpentry, plumbing, heating, electrical, HVAC, electronic diagnostics, and water treatment.
• Proficiency with computer software including Microsoft Office Suite.
• High school or equivalent education is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems are functioning properly.
• Identify and rectify maintenance issues and coordinate with the Engineering Manager.
• Assist in recruitment, training, development, and performance management.
• Assume Engineering Manager duties in their absence.
• Develop preventative maintenance schedules and monitor building systems.
• Coordinate repairs, contractor access, and inspections.
• Uphold safety policies and OSHA standards.
• Report emergencies and guest-related issues promptly.
• Support ongoing operations and conduct room inspections.
