Job summary

Vertiv in Ironton, OH seeks a Supervisor Engineering Manager to lead design and validation of liquid cooling distribution systems for global projects. You will drive Creo model development, BOM creation, and PLM-based documentation while coordinating with engineering, suppliers, and customers to ensure high-quality, manufacturable solutions.

The role requires extensive experience with piping/fluid systems, TCS/SFN, and hands-on validation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 7+ years in piping/fluid systems, ideally data center cooling.
• Experience with TCS/SFN design, validation and productization.
• High proficiency with PTC Creo for assemblies and drawings.
• Strong knowledge of PLM systems (Oracle PD Cloud, Windchill).
• Proven NPDI support using Stage-Gate or similar processes.
• Hands-on validation: pressure, leak, flow and thermal testing.
• Familiarity with ASME/ASHRAE liquid cooling guidelines.
• DFM/DFA principles; weld/braze methods and supplier fabrication.
• Strong documentation: PFDs, P&IDs, test reports, changes.

Responsibilities

• Design TCS/SFN assemblies including manifolds and fittings.
• Develop and maintain Creo 3D models and libraries.
• Prepare BOMs, PFDs, P&IDs; manage in PLM systems.
• Perform system sizing and calculations (pressure drop, flow).
• Support prototype builds and validation testing.
• Collaborate with suppliers on manufacturability and cost.
• Coordinate with global engineering, ops, supply chain, quality.
• Contribute NPDI inputs for continuous improvement.
• Support layout tools and automation workflow feedback.
• Ensure designs meet internal standards and ASME/ASHRAE guidelines.
