Job summary

Vertiv seeks a Supervisor Engineering Manager to lead design and validation of liquid cooling distribution solutions. You'll develop Creo models, manage BOMs and PFDs, and collaborate globally to deliver high-quality, manufacturable designs for TCS/SFN systems.

The role requires 7+ years in piping/fluid systems, PLM proficiency, and hands-on validation experience, with onsite work in Ironton, OH.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7+ years of piping/fluid systems experience, preferably in data center liquid cooling, HVAC, or process cooling.
• Experience with TCS/SFN design, validation, and productization.
• High proficiency with Creo for assemblies, layouts, routing, and detailed drawings.
• Strong knowledge of PLM systems (Oracle PD Cloud, Windchill) for BOM and design lifecycle management.
• Proven record of supporting NPDI projects using Stage-Gate or equivalent processes.
• Hands-on validation experience (pressure/leak testing, flow/thermal testing, cleanliness).
• Knowledge of ASME and ASHRAE liquid cooling guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design of TCS/SFN assemblies (manifolds, headers, valves, fittings, hoses, expansion tanks, strainers, disconnects).
• Develop and maintain Creo 3D models, assemblies, drawings, and libraries for TCS/SFN components.
• Prepare and maintain BOMs, PFDs, P&IDs, and technical docs in PLM systems (Oracle PD Cloud, Windchill).
• Perform system sizing and calculations (pressure drop, flow balancing, NPSH margin, valve Cv).
• Support prototype builds and validation testing (pressure, leak, flow/thermal, cleanliness, dew point).
• Collaborate with suppliers on manufacturability, cost, and quality standards.
• Work with global teams to ensure project execution.
• Provide input from NPDI into NPDI modules for continuous improvement.
• Support layout/configurator tools and feedback to improve automation workflows.
• Ensure designs comply with ASME/ASHRAE liquid cooling guidelines.
