Job summary

Danfoss Power Solutions is seeking a Lead Engineer in Utica, NY to own the development of advanced liquid cooling systems from concept to production. You will work across mechanical, electrical, and thermal disciplines, translating customer needs into robust, high-performance solutions for data centers and power electronics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Thermal, Mechatronic, or related field with at least 8 years of experience in system or sub-system development.
• Deep expertise in fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and thermal system design, preferably with liquid cooling.
• Track record of successful NPD projects and ability to accelerate execution of NPD activities.
• Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks or Creo) and familiarity with CFD/thermal analysis tools.
• Experience working directly with customers to define technical requirements and develop solutions.
• Excellent communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience working with global peers and leading specific subject-matter expertise.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development of liquid cooling components and systems from concept to production readiness.
• Serve as a key technical partner translating customer needs into specifications and architectures.
• Drive system-level design decisions optimizing thermal efficiency, manufacturability, and reliability.
• Define and lead validation and testing strategy, solving technical challenges for flawless performance.
• Lead cross-functional technical reviews with component, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.
