Job summary

Cabot Citrus Farms in Brooksville, FL is seeking a Landscape Technician to maintain and enhance outdoor spaces around the resort. You will handle planting, pruning, irrigation, mowing, and seasonal clean-up to meet Cabot’s high standards for beauty and guest satisfaction.

The role requires operating hand and motorized equipment, following safety protocols, and working flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekdays and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Knowledge of the safe operation of handheld and motorized equipment.
• Knowledge of the principals of operation of gasoline and diesel engines, maintenance tools and materials.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions.
• Ability to work flexible hours – mornings, evenings, weekdays and weekends as required.
• Positive attitude and excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Highly responsible & reliable.

Responsibilities

• Operate hand-mowing equipment such as line trimmers, push movers, and self-propelled walk-behind units.
• Operate tractors, loaders, aerifiers, utility vehicles and other maintenance equipment in a safe, non-destructive manner.
• Care for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing, removing thatch, or trimming or edging around beds and paths.
• Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges using appropriate tools.
• Mix and apply fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides.
• Maintain sidewalks, driveways, and planters.
• Debris and garbage collection and site clean-up.
• Perform basic maintenance on equipment and tools.
• Return all equipment to storage daily.
