Job summary

TerraPower is seeking a Principal Engineer in Core Thermal Hydraulics Methods and Analysis in Bellevue, WA. You will develop and apply thermal-hydraulic analysis methods, perform code validation, and integrate with multidisciplinary teams to solve reactor-core design challenges.

Strong analytical skills and experience with nuclear systems codes are required. Responsibilities include benchmarking analyses, first-principles calculations, and presenting findings to leadership; mentoring engineers

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in a related field; 6+ years of experience preferred.
• Strong programming skills in Python or C++ are a plus.
• Experience with nuclear systems codes and multi-disciplinary teams is valued.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply thermal-hydraulic analysis methods for reactor core design.
• Perform code benchmarking and validation to support methodology development.
• Lead cross-disciplinary teams and present analyses to leadership.
• Provide formal reports and technical recommendations based on first principles.
