Job summary

RTX is seeking a seasoned engineering leader to drive Advanced Electro-Optics (EO) programs from concept through build and test. You will coordinate with external customers, Raytheon leadership, and the engineering team to ensure program success.

The role requires a STEM degree with 10+ years of EO experience, strong systems integration, EVMS, risk management, and a transferable Secret clearance. You will mentor teams and contribute to process improvements in a fast-paced defense environment.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and at least 10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in EO system concepts, analysis, and trade studies.
• Experience with EO systems, integration, test, verification and validation.
• Must have active and transferable Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering program execution and technical leadership for Advanced Electro-Optics (EO) programs from concept through build and test.
• Facilitate communications between external customers, Raytheon leadership, and the program's engineering team.
• Create, analyze, and forecast staffing, EVMS, risk/opportunity management, IPT coordination, subcontracts management, and issue management.
• Manage program technical baseline through documentation, reviews, and chairing the Engineering Review Board.
• Support new business activities, responding to RFIs and RFPs.
• Support technical roadmaps and provide mentoring; drive process improvements in Engineering.
