Job summary

WEG Electric Corp. is seeking an experienced Lead Engineer to provide technical leadership for complex industrial, power generation, and grid stability projects.

This role serves as the senior technical authority throughout the project lifecycle, from proposal development through commissioning, working closely with customers, EPCs, utilities, and internal engineering teams. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in rotating equipment, MV VFDs, and power systems, along with the ability to

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of engineering experience in rotating equipment, MV drives, power systems, power generation, or grid stability applications.
  • Strong knowledge of motors, generators, synchronous condensers, MV VFDs, and related electrical systems.
  • Understanding of industrial, utility, or EPC project environments.
  • Familiarity with NEMA, IEEE, IEC, UL, and other applicable industry standards.
  • Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Experience supporting customer-facing technical discussions and project execution activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, mentor engineers, and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; SAP experience is a plus.
  • PE license preferred but not required.

WEG Electric Corp. is seeking an experienced Lead Engineer to provide technical leadership for complex industrial, power generation, and grid stability projects.
