Amentum Dearborn Engine Laboratory in Dearborn, MI seeks a Test Engineer to lead engine test projects, guide cross-functional teams and ensure quality, on-time delivery, and safety in powertrain development. Requirements: BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and 1+ years in powertrain calibration, development and testing; familiarity with Matlab/LabView is a plus.

The Dearborn Engine Laboratory conducts dynamometer-based tests on gasoline and diesel engines. Test categories include engine development and durability, powertrain calibration, heavy-duty gas/diesel engine certification, and engine cooling system tests.
The Engine Laboratory Department’s Test Engineer interacts with requesting activities to ensure that their testing requirements are understood/documented and the engine set-up throughout testing and disposition of engine is a quality event.
